NAVI’s financial growth: Maksym Krippa on the team’s profitability
Maksym Krippa, the Ukrainian entrepreneur behind NAVI (Natus Vincere), has illuminated the organization’s impressive financial transformation. Since acquiring the esports powerhouse in 2018, Krippa has turned it into a profitable business, solidifying its status as one of the most successful teams globally.
“When I bought NAVI, the team ran an annual deficit of $1.5 million. Within a year, the situation changed dramatically,” Krippa revealed in an interview with Forbes. His strategic vision involved shifting away from Russian players and expanding NAVI’s presence in international markets. This not only boosted revenue streams but also significantly increased fan engagement worldwide.
Currently, NAVI ranks among the top five esports organizations, with its matches amassing over 571 million hours of viewership. The increasing popularity of esports has played a crucial role in the club’s success. “Esports is a rapidly expanding industry. We see annual audience growth of 30-40%, bringing it closer to traditional sports in terms of revenue potential,” Krippa stated.
Beyond NAVI, Maksym Krippa owns Maincast, Ukraine’s premier esports broadcasting company. Maincast has consistently reported seven-figure annual profits, further proving the commercial viability of esports. “This is no longer a niche trend—a fully established industry with immense capitalization potential,” Krippa emphasized.
Despite his deep involvement in esports, Krippa’s primary financial interests remain in real estate. Nevertheless, NAVI has proven to be highly profitable, demonstrating that competitive gaming can generate stable and substantial revenues. As the esports industry continues its rapid growth, NAVI is poised to reinforce its position as a dominant force on the global stage.
